Pretty close to faultless,

Obviously it sounds like the time it comes from, but really - there's not a bad track on this album. Okay, so I grew up with it, maybe I'm biased, but I can still enjoy listening to it now in 2007. Give it a play or two, and chances are you'll agree. Anyone else noticed the artwork glitch on the cover?

Bobby Brown - The one and only classic,

This review is from: Don't Be Cruel (Audio CD)
To be honest, what can you say? When this album hit both here in the UK and abroad it made waves. For many My Prerogative, Rock Wit'Cha, Roni and Every Little Step made you want to simply jump around. For me, Don't Be Cruel and the accompanying video made the album. Absolutely brilliant. After listening to this CD I went out and bought Ralph T, BBD, Johnny G and various New Edition albums. If you want a trip back then buy this album. Easy listening, easy lyrics, easy. Bobby Brown should never have faded away and in all honsety, should come back now and receive PROPER promotion.

This album represented what many believed to be the start of a brilliant career. However, this album easily turned out to be his best.'don.t be cruel' is outstanding and enjoyed two chart runs. However, the jewell in the crown is, without doubt, 'my prerogative'. It is simply awesome. In fact, there just are not any weak tracks on this. However, this album was not followed up, with anything of a similar standard. So, enjoy his finest moments all on this one early album.
