Format:VHS Tape
One of those rare somewhat obscure Disney films. Nobody seems to have seen it - and few show any inclination to, despite my rallyings! I quite like the fact that only a select few (okay, it's Disney, it's all relative, I know) have seen this movie and really, it's great. Watch it. Love maths. Even if it is for only an hour or two.

Many people react with distaste to the subject of Mathematics, as does Donald Duck at the beginning of this film. But he is gradually won over by the animators of Disney in this cartoon classic, which when it was released it was the most expensive film ever to have been made on the subject. Using a mixture of real life and animated film Donald is shown the influence Mathematics has on everyday life. We are shown some of the history of the subject and its influence to shape, natural life, music, games and other areas. I first saw this as a 16mm copy while at University during the 70s, the Christmas treat for the Maths Department. I have watched it many times since and enjoyed it every time.
