Don Moggs born in London's East End has had a very varied and sometimes exciting life. He started work in the thirties as an office clerk where he was when war was declared. Whilst waiting to go into the RAF he supplemented his income by being a doorkeeper/bouncer in evenings at dance halls in north London during the London Blitz. He has been an RAF pilot, accountant, financial director of a public company, administrator, consultant to industry and finally a shopkeeper, before fully retiring at seventy-eight, since when he has written most of his books. He has so far published ten.
Don lives with is wife in Woking, Surrey, and has two sons and four grandchildren. He will reach the age of ninety in January, 2012, but does not intend this landmark to stop him writing. He has another book ready for publication and another in mind
He played a lot of football when young and still enjoys his fairly regular visits to watch the local team..
