"...book of the year so far finds its way to City Spy: Dominate Your Market with Twitter: Tweet Your Way to Business Success." --Evening Standard, 1st July 2009

Product Description

Twitter is a social networking and micro-blogging service that allows its users to send and read other users' updates (known as tweets ), which are text-based posts of up to 140 characters in length. Updates are displayed on the user's profile page and delivered to other users who have signed up to receive them. You may think and then what? Its simplicity is perhaps its charm and twittering is growing at a phenomenal rate. Already in the US 1 in every 10 persons are using the site, including Barack Obama. With a recent $35million investment from private investors Twitter is predicted to soon take over Facebook in its reach. Innovative companies like Apple and Ford have already discovered the instant benefits of using the social media phenomenon to reach consumers directly, build their brand, and increase sales. Dominate your market with Twitter is the first UK book to be publish on this growing spectacle. In it digital marketing experts Jon Smith and José Llinares reveal how marketers can use Twitter to their best advantage, creating strategies to build a loyal following among Twitter members and expand awareness for their product or service. It s a straight talking, no-waffle practical pocket guide and the tips inside can put into practice immediately.

This book is small in size and content. There are much better books on the subject than this. I get the impression it was a thrown together ebook before getting a publisher. My one regret is I did not send it back for return of my wasted money

5.0 out of 5 stars Light and informative, 23 July 2009
This review is from: Dominate your market with Twitter (Paperback)
I was looking for a light read that would explore some of the commercial advantages of using Twitter. I am pleased to say that the book met my expectations. It also covers the basics for the uninitiated and is equally applicable to those thinking of using the service on a personal level.

The book is divided into seven main chapters - 'Twitter, what's it all about', 'The keys to success', 'Using Twitter to promote yourself', 'Using Twitter to promote your business', 'Twitter clients and applications', 'Twitter on steroids: extending the uses of Twitter', 'Twitter in the future'.

1.0 out of 5 stars Very disappointing, 25 Jan 2010
This review is from: Dominate your market with Twitter (Paperback)
Jon's SEO book was brilliant and his Adwords book was good but this was so disappointing. It was so light weight that it felt as if he didn't actually know the subject and was paraphrasing content he'd read in someone else's book. As a previous reviewer stated, which sadly I ignored at the time, there are much better books on the market about Twitter than this.
