5.0 out of 5 stars Probably the best book you can buy on Geese? 6 April 2010
Format:Hardcover
I now have over 20 books of various ages on keeping ducks and / or geese but for me, Domestic Geese is my top reference book. It covers just about everything you could ever think about and if there is only one book you buy on keeping domestic geese, this should be the one. I particularly enjoyed the section on Goose Behaviour which includes several excellent diagrams with the approach to the breeding season also being covered in detail.

I have learned so much from this book and it has become my 'reference' for Geese on the book shelf. Probably THE best book you can buy on Geese.

I strongly recommend this book to any who have interest in the subject. Though I have not yet had a chance to try the instructions fo incubation, it seems to based on a scientific approach, and so far seems much more trustworthy than any other I read.

Please excuse my English, it is not my native language.

4.0 out of 5 stars A practical book 11 Mar 2011
By Kim
Format:Hardcover
I have been searching for a practical everyday book on goose keeping. There seems to be very few books around that focus on geese specifically - geese are not ducks! This book provides useful insights into geese behaviour and breeding. There was, for me, too much emphasis on describing the various breeds and histories; that said, it is to date the most useful book that I have seen. It is easy to read and well illustrated.
