This really is a beautiful book for any skill level of doll maker. The dolls themselves are extremely pretty and all the instructions are easy to follow. The book is colourful and very well set out. It is the sort of book that you will return to time and again. Well worth getting, you will not be dissappointed a real dolly delightfull book.

The author has done a fantastic job of making every element of these projects accessible to anyone with a creative leaning. There are lots of clever ideas all clearly described and simplified. There is a real sense of demystifying this craft from the use of templates to the method of pattern cutting.
I bought this because it look a lot less stuffy than similar titles and a little more edgy(!). The dolls don't have the peculiar pixie-like appearance which seems typical in doll making and yet they are not child-like either. The author has struck a happy medium and I am delighted with my purchase.
I think it offers really excellent value for money, especially compared to other similar publications and, of course, there is also the bonus of a DVD.
