Format:Paperback
After having read "all you need to know about action research" by the same authors, my expectations were sky high. However, where the previous book tried to explain how action research can be written up in an academic style similar to other types of research, this one is suggests a strange format. The reason for the different format is because action research is different. Perhaps yes, perhaps no. Reason and Bradbury's "Handbook of action research" gives an overview of different types of action research while this one is focused on the Whitehead/McNiff of doing and writing AR.

This book is one of the best I have come across, not only for my own use but for use with students. The authors go beyond the basic discussion of theory surrounding Research and move into the action of their work; providing evidence and validated knowledge. It is a very easy read which is unusual for such an academic source.
