Doing it Right [Paperback]

"Doing It Right" by MJD is an anthology featuring "Thief of Hearts", a novel previously released as an e-book several years ago (and one I tried unsuccessfully to get hold of for quite some time) and a further novella "Wild Hearts".

Thief of Hearts
Working the nightshift in ER, Dr Jared Dean is instantly smitten by the beautiful blonde woman making mincemeat of a goon twice her size. Kara on the other hand is worried that Jared now has a contract out on him; a good guy with a good reputation accidentally caught up in her rather less than savoury world.

Wild Hearts
When undercover cop Chester (Chess) McNamara attempts to steal a car, the owner definitely has something to say about it. Yes said woman Kat Wetcher is as sexy as Hell; yet she proves herself sneaky taking him out when she seduces him with her kisses. Trapped in the boot of her car and on the way to the DA's office Chess may have fallen in love; however his cover may be well and truly blown.

MJD has created two wonderful heroes, strong sensitive men willing to take a step back and let their women punch the day lights out of the bad guys; but beware anyone that dares touch them (Jared proves himself almost deadly with a saucepan lol). The leading ladies are my favourite type of heroine; smart mouthed, fiercely independent and in serious need of some TLC and I particularly enjoyed how MJD connected the lives of Kara and Kat.

For all those MJD fans looking for perhaps something similar to her "Gorgeous" or "Undead" series then be warned; these stories are incredibly racy and more on par with her "Really Unusual Bad Boys" erotica series. That said, the humour I expect from this author is abundant; witty banter, internal dialogues, the interaction between the leading lovers and their reactions to some interesting circumstances all raise a smile. I am thrilled that "Thief of Hearts" has been republished; the Fates are certainly smiling on me at the moment, as I not only get my hands on this but also "Wild Hearts"; featuring the marvellous Kara five years down the line.

Bought this book on the recommendation of Amazon. I was looking forward to reading it after reading the synopsis but what a let down! There is no story; its just all sex (either doing, thinking or dreaming!!!). My advice is to stay clear of this book as its certainly not 'doing it right'.
