Product Description
The Doidy Cup, designed and made in the U.K., to teach your child to drink from a rim. The unique slant of the cup enables children to drink easily as they can see the contents without thrusting their heads forward and downwards. They also learn to put the cups down properly. Babies as young as 6mths find the two handled cup easy to hold and use but with Mum's help the cup can be used from birth. Dishwasher (top shelf) and microwave safe. (Warning - microwaving liquids can result in 'hot spots' and is not advised for children's drinks.) Weaning The Doidy cup is an ideal aid to weaning as the natural mouth action used is the same as in breast feeding. Health professionals are advising use of the Doidy Cup to prevent long term health problems caused by delayed weaning and prolonged use of feeding bottles and spouted cups. i started using the doidy cup when my daughter started weaning at 6 months. it didn't take her long to get used too now drinking very well from the doidy cup at 8 months. still not able to hold the cup by herself yet hopefult that is to come when she stops shaking it.Bickiepegs Doidy Cup (Red)

I started using the Doidy when my baby was 5 months old. It is such a simple cup - no lids to faff around with, simple to wash etc. It took a few tries before my baby could drink and swallow some water but she seemed to get the idea quite quickly. At 8 months she still hasn't mastered holding it - if she does get her hands on it, it's to turn it upside down so I hold it for her. I've tried three other styles of training cup and the Doidy is certainly the easiest to use at home. For out and about I use a simple lidded spout cup.
The option of a lid to fix on would be handy for outside the home - if Bickiepegs want to make an improvement! Then I'd give it 5 stars.
