Heart-breaking! 17 May 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
Irene has told a heart-breaking story really well. She has a talent for placing the reader in the thick of the story, walking the treacherous streets beside the hungry dog looking for scraps to survive.

To be honest, I think the story could be extended and easily made into a full-length novel.

A very short story. Well told, with drama and pathos, but I, for one, was disappointed by the ending. Perhaps I was expecting a different outcome.

I felt I was in the city where this takes place; I felt I was traveling along with the dog looking for food. I loved this short story; wish it were longer. Want to read more stories by her.
