Product Description

Product Description

"All Dogs Have ADHD" takes an inspiring and affectionate look at Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), using images and ideas from the canine world to explore a variety of traits that will be instantly recognisable to those who are familiar with ADHD. Following the style of the award-winning "All Cats Have Asperger Syndrome", charming colour photographs of dogs bring to life familiar ADHD characteristics such as being restless and excitable, getting easily distracted, and acting on impulse. This delightful book combines humour with understanding to reflect the difficulties and joys of raising a child with ADHD and celebrates what it means to be considered 'different'. This absorbing and enjoyable book takes a refreshing approach to understanding ADHD.

My son is 5 and autistic with ADHD. We love this book with the large, colourful and fun dog photos with short, bold, ADHD related statements on each page. This book explains alot of my sons behaviour that I sometimes put down to just autism. We look at this book often, my son likes this as a bedtime story. The underlying message from this book, is that its good to be different.

Just to add that this book is very basic, if you want to know lots about ADHD, dont buy this book.

Great book. I use it in my work with families, helps them understand ADHD a little more, in a way that can be easily understood and related too. Lovely photos and text.

I was expecting a regular text book about ADHD which this is not, just a picture of a dog and an image on each page but does manage to say so much though each small statement. I let my ADHD son (15yrs) read it and he thought it was great. Good tool to explain ADHD in a simple and quick manner to other family members or teachers who don't have time to read a normal 100 page book. Pleased I bought it. Takes only 10-15 mins to read.
