Product Description

Britcom starring Luke Treadaway as Dan, an aspiring journalist who decides to write an expose of the illicit in-car sexual activity known as 'dogging' in and around his hometown of Newcastle. Shedding his inhibitions in the name of research, Dan takes to the darkened corners of the city's car parks to get an inside view of the al fresco swinging scene. But things get complicated when he meets Laura (Kate Heppell) on the doggers' circuit.

Product Description

United Kingdom released, PAL/Region 2 DVD: LANGUAGES: English ( Dolby Digital 5.1 ), WIDESCREEN (1.78:1), SPECIAL FEATURES: Interactive Menu, Scene Access, SYNOPSIS: A sharp observation on the perils, pitfalls and wrong turns of romance in the 21st century. Aspiring journalist Dan expected so much more after graduation... but with no leads, little motivation and a girlfriend who would rather cosy up to her boss in the office, it's not exactly as he planned. In a bid to get his life back on track and coerced by his womanizing flatmate, Dan is introduced to the al fresco sex scene that is DOGGING. Encountering an array of weird and wonderful characters looking for their dubious highs, it soon becomes clear that the scene is ripe for an expose. Dropping his inhibitions in the name of research, Dan becomes a reluctant pawn on the car park circuit, where he meets Laura and the totally unexpected happens. Format:DVD
A rather left field comedy from Simon Ellis, uncovering that rather peculiarly British hobby of dogging. In short the story follows an aspiring journalist, who thinks there is a story to be made out of dogging and his real estate agent flatmate, who has, shall we say first hand experience. Enter the girlfriend, who gets rather too excited by the prospect, Jim, who follows Horny Geordie Lass like a slightly too persistent puppy, and the annual meet in the Lake district.

While several parallel love stories are burried under there somewhere, they tend not to get too much in the way of the comedy element and the relatively lighthearted treatment of the subject. This is not Death At A Funeral [DVD] [2007] funny but a good, fresh, unpretentious effort and who knows, maybe the language and light signals might come handy when visiting Blighty next - sitting in a parked car with someone flashing the lights at you will definitely never be the same again.

Obviously an independent project so no subtitle option and, for me, I really need that because this is all in the broadest Geordie I have ever heard. I can't get more than 1 word in 4.

I am at a loss were to begin with this offering?
I must congratulate the players for their efforts, without them this would be a hopeles mess, as it is, it's at least watchable, and their are some parts that raise a laugh, unfortunately the said parts aren't supposed to be funny!
What could have been a good possibly great film has been reduced to silliness on a grand scale.
Watchable for the acting talent on show, shame the same can't be said of the makers!
