The Medium-size 'Bak-Pak' is comprised of two parts: the harness which is attached to the dog and the back-pack which is attached to the harness. The harness has three adjustable straps - one goes around the chest and two under the tummy - which ensure a snug fit on your dog's back. The large storage pockets of the Bak-Pak hold food, water, treats and other gear. The pockets feature internal mesh dividers and one pocket has an additional attachment clip - so your more valuable items can be safely stored. The three-point harness ensures a secure and comfortable fit; the harness clips have comfort pads which ensure that dog's coat and body isn't rubbed by the buckles. If you're letting your dog off its lead, leave the lead attached to its collar and store it in the 'quick release' lead holder. Should you need to bring your dog under control quickly simply give your dog's lead a tug to release it from the back-pack. The wide back pad spreads the weight of the load and locates it away from the centre of the dog's back where it could cause harm. (For comfort, try to keep the load evenly balanced.) When empty, the back-pack is surprisingly lightweight. The reflective safety strip, which runs the length of both sides of the back-pack, will ensure your dog is visible when out on dark nights. The adjustable elastic straps on the top of the back-pack are ideal for holding sleeping pads or other gear. (Or, if your expeditions are less adventurous, the morning newspaper!) The set of D-ring anchor points is available for when larger or unusually-shaped objects need to be carried. The back-pack is made from tough 600 denier rip-stop nylon fabric - soft yet sturdy and durable. To clean, hand wash with cool water, scrubbing stains with a mild detergent, then hang on a line to dry. This backpack will suit dogs with a chest size in the range of 22 inches (55 cms) to 36 inches (90 cms) and a neck size in the range of 14 inches (35 cms) to 28 inches (70 cms).

I guessed at the size I needed and ordered the 'Medium' on Saturday night and a 'Large' has just been delivered! (Tuesday morning) so a really good turn around but the wrong size.
The straps are enormously long, why they need to be that long I don't know?? and even tightened all the way are still a 3-4 inches too long for my Bull cross (about the size of a fit retriever) but the pack is actually a nice length/size so I'll just modify the straps to fit.
First impressions are that it's very well made from sturdy, waterproof material and has decent double stitching so should last for a fair while.
One of the snap shut buckles was on the wrong way round but I've just slide the buckle off and turned it round.
For reference the pack came with a tag stating the sizes (something the advertising doesn't)

Giant 38cm (15") 75-150cm (29-60") - 60 INCHES!! that's roughly the size of a Horse!!!
Large 33cm (13") 60-130cm (23-52")
Medium 28cm (11") 50-95cm (19-38")

Doesnt sit well if only one side pocket has bottle of water in it, so have to take 2 bottles, a medium size should fir medium dog better than it does fit, but it really practical and means my arms arent droppin off so much by time we get to park....
