Was very disappointed - to the point I returned it the same day I received it. There is a decent list of training subjects - most of interest to me were crate training, toilet training and basic obedience. However in only 38 pages it does cover these topics in enough detail... No photos, no diagrams... Just words. I bought this for £10.18 so was expecting much more than a booklet...

HASH(0x9b7cd2c4) out of 5 stars Really helpful for training dogs. 26 Aug. 2014

This book has given me a lot of knowledge on how to train my dog properly so that they would be more obedient to me. What's good about this is that they are step-by-step so they really are easy to follow. You get the basic dog training principles, too. Although every chapter are very helpful in their own way, I find the Chapter 6 the most helpful one. It is the Common Training Problems and How to Fix Them. Now I know where did I go wrong in training my dog. I would recommend this to all the dog lovers out there. Worth reading!

HASH(0x9c03c5ac) out of 5 stars Concise guide on training your dog 27 July 2014
By Mike - Published on Amazon.com

I have a pet chihuahua. I have had the worst time trying to get him housebroken. He realizes what we want him to do, it just seems that he decides to be stubborn sometimes. I have been following the methods outlined in chapter five. I have already noticed a difference. He is not perfect yet, but I see improvement, and he seems to be realizing how important it is to only potty outside. If you have any problems with your pet dog than I would recommend that you read this book. The information was presented in an easy to understand manner, and I think it is going to be a big help to me.

HASH(0x9ca466a8) out of 5 stars very informative, lots to take away and incorporate 9 Dec. 2014
By Gavin - Published on Amazon.com

I learned some key techniques that I've never look at in-depth before. The most important method was 'clicking,' which lets the dog know he did something good. It brings the connection between the action and reward. I remember my friend used it one time but I didn't care enough to ask about it.

And basically just the emphasis of reinforcements versus punishment is further reinforced in me.

There's actually a lot more information in this book than I participated and it's surely worth the price, I recommend any dog owner with novice dog training abilities to benefit by checking this book out.

HASH(0x9d9cec54) out of 5 stars Good basic dog training book 8 Dec. 2014

Good basic dog training book. I like how the book teaches you how to train your dog with commands while you stand side by side. Most dog training I see focuses on standing in front of your dog. I think the dog can maybe understand better when you are by it's side doing the action. It was good to learn more about clicker training. I've got 2 large dogs that I feel would benefit from that type of training.
HASH(0x9d9ced08) out of 5 stars ... a new member in the family but do not like your pet to be more precise 2 Dec. 2015
By Roger Betancourt - Published on Amazon.com

It is a book for people who want a new member in the family but do not like your pet to be more precise, your dog does poop unpleasant for one places such as the kitchen, the living room, the bedroom, in the door to leave. It is very uncomfortable. In addition to this major problem that also helps you solve and helps you train your dog so as not to bite others, something quite useful and also helps you how to make your dog socialize with people and no bite or make some gesture when they try to pet it bad ... I really like a lot because I have a dog and they have to learn how babies learn to do not do certain things
