Annette Conn is someone who really knows what she is talking about. Having trained a border terrier puppy using her advice we ended up with a dog with really good manners. Several friends bought the same breed on the strength of how much they admired our dog. Where we followed her advice to the letter the training worked brilliantly. When we, foolishly, decided to adapt it with our ideas the results were not nearly as good. Some of her ideas we found surprising but they certainly do work. Have faith in her ability and it will work for you and your dog. This book will help people to have the dog of their dreams. I highly recommend it.

This book is written by dog behaviour expert Annette Conn. Although it is called a 'handbook' I would recommend reading this book cover to cover as it gives you all the information you need to be a confident dog owner. The layout is fresh and inviting. . . like editorial articles, teamed with beautiful contemporary photography. Anyone considering introducing a dog to their family would benefit from the 'choosing the right dog chapter'. 'Jagger' our border terrier is our first dog and I am delighted I got this book, the advice simply 'works'....a 'must have' for every dog owner!
