I have almost all of the 'Disney Classics' and I am missing this one. All of my other films have the number in the yellow circle on the side and I've already sent this film back to Disney Movie rewards as it did not have the number. Really don't want an odd one in my collection
I bought this myself to check, as the picture shows the classics number 38 in white writing on the front. I received the special edition version (the same as sent by DMR with the gold hologram) so no number at all. Contacted customer services to inform them, and they have said that 'some of the older stock' doesn't have numbering on the case, but is exactly the same product. I have argued that a Special Edition version of a DVD and a standard version are not the same product, and they have sent me a replacement, will report back if I actually get a numbered one this time!
No, all had the gold hologram, special edition version - Haven't got one with numbered spine as yet. Have had 3 from Amazon no and one from another seller on Amazon to no avail.
I also tried to buy from Zavvi, was the numbered spine pictured and listed as 'platinum edition' but still ended up with the special edition - http://www.zavvi.com/dvd/fantasia-2000-platinum-edition/10301651.html Just seems like nobody wants to actually sell what is pictured on their websites!
Amazon are telling me its exactly the same product so they don't really care that the pictures are wrong - Try explaining to them about the cases and its like they don't understand!
Managed to get the O-ring for mine on eBay for £4, gave up trying to get through to Amazon that they aren't selling what is shown on the item picture! If anyone does manage to get one with a number, well done!
