A truely brilliant book,it has taught me so much, so much so that i have bought several more to give to chums of mine.The hints and tips that Sue gives are easy to understand and put into practise, since i have taken her advise i have had may favourable comments such as, You,ve lost weight,haven,t seen you looking so good for ages etc, even my wife says i look younger ! I think the last reviewer, Andrea C, missed the point with this book.
Pretty colour pictures might have a place in "fashion" magazines flogging you the latest trends, but the style principles in this book are timeless and enable a man to understand how principles of colour, shape and pattern affect the clothes he wears. There are plenty of images to illustrate the point, but this book doesn't pretend to be a "paint-by-numbers" approach to style - it's a book about educating the individual on what works and what doesn't ON THEM. As a man who happens to be quite short and broad, the mainstream fashions and "styles" that are sold on 6ft plus models would often make me look ridiculous. But thanks to this book I can avoid being a "follower" and avoid being a "fashion victim" to ensure what I wear is flattering and smart.

I would NOT recommend purchasing this book. It promises to be 'the definitive style guide' which upon reading, clearly is not. This book contains no photos/pictures (except how to tie a tie) to see what she's talking about. All basic and common sense advice. There are much better style books on the market for men - Dress Your Best - being one of them. - save your money and buy something more with real value.
