I just watched the dvd (twice to make sure ;-) ) but the sound levels seemed a bit weird. They kept going up and down, loud then quiet, especially noticable in the baseball scene, then again in the ballet studio. I wondered if anyone else had this problem or if maybe the disc I've got has a fault or something. I bought the 2-disc, non-blu-ray version in case thats of any importance.

i have the 1 disc dvd and i had much the same problem, so bad in fact i had to turn the tv to full volume just to hear it properly, i did think it was the vintage tv i was watching but on my brand spanking new flat screen HD tv it was much the same. sometimes dvd's just seem to be like this.

Kevin Wass says:
Some DVDs default to 5.1 surround which will off balance the vocal and music presentation. Have a look in the set-up and choose stereo as a preference.
It's worth a check at least.
