If you understand the basic working of XML, ASP, VB you will find this book well rewarding, giving you a full insite into the creation of a full working application for the re-purposing of documents for use on the web. On the other hand the user level is shown as Beginning to Intermediate I think any beginer will be lost by chapter 2.

However, if you want to learn about XML using a practical example this book meets those objectives. If, like me, you are in I.T for the money, I recommend you also buy strong black coffee and sell all other entertainment consumer items you have before getting stuck in.

I really liked the concept of being given an example project and being walked through the process. However, the code appears to have serious bugs and wouldn't even run the example files that were provided on the web site. I fixed a few bugs, then found more, and ended up writing a new application myself (admitedly helped by what I learnt from the book).
The author's website makes little mention of the bugs in the code - proudly stating that nothing significant has been found. When I emailed the author I got no reply. However, a quick look at reviews posted on the US Amazon.com site shows that other readers feel similarly frustrated.
