This is a fantastic video and it can be enjoyed by anybody. Many of the people involved with Doctor Who make contributions. Fans will enjoy interviews with the late Patrick Troughton, the late Jon Pertwee, Colin Baker, Sylvester McCoy, Nicolas Courtney, Barry Letts, Terrance Dicks, the late Terry Nation, Phil Hinchcliffe, Douglas Adams, John Nathan-Turner and a load of the old companions. Sadly, the absence of any comments by the late William Hartnell or Peter Davison is quite disappointing and the only footage of Tom Baker is archive material. Other viewers will enjoy this video because of contributions by celebrities like Lowri Turner, Gerry Anderson, Ken Livingstone, Toyah Wilcox, Mike Gatting, Alan Whicker, Mary Whitehouse and Alan Yentob. All this and many clips from the series' 26 year duration, including scenes with all the Doctors, features on many of the monsters and memories of the two feature films made during the sixties, starring Peter Cushing as the Doctor.

Little can be said about this video beyond the fact that for the Doctor Who fan it is brilliant !

A tour-de-force of what is great about Doctor Who, it goes out of its way to appeal both to the traditional fan as well as the more casual watcher. The Video is straightforwardly told and the junking of BBC stories in the past is well documented.

The greatest thing about this video though is the plethora of rare clips both from stories that you can get separately on Video, and also several clips that are all that remain of 'lost' classic stories - and such clips wet the appetite for more Doctor Who in general.

All in all this video is well made and constructed, and the advertisements using Doctor Who from the past are great to watch and remanis over ! Worth a buy whether a fan collecting the clips or the casual watcher after something a little different - Doctor Who showing its best !

I was surprised to see a video tape being advertised, but when I read what it was about I thought it looked well worth the money. It is, it is excellent.
I have watched Dr Who since the start and if you to enjoyed or are interested in the early years then this is a must. I hope the BBC bring this out on DVD for all the fans that cannot go back in time and use their old VHS machines.
