Help the Doctor make a daring escape with the Doctor Who Junk Tardis . Made of scrap parts, the Junk Tardis was based on the design by Susannah Leah, winner of the Blue Peter 'Design a TARDIS Console' competition. The Doctor built it from spare Tardis parts in "The Doctor's Wife" to rescue his own Tardis when it was kidnapped. Take control of this 13cm Tardis playset and prepare your own Tardis resue mission. Add the finishing touches with the removable control panel and spin the spinner to make the time rotor spin . Make sure to strap in with the restraining harnesses before you set off, as it could be a rough ride! Check out our range of Doctor Who action figures to find a crew for this ramshackle time machine. This playset may not be exciting in some people's opinion because it's not electronic, but I think it's a great little set, especially if you have the Doctor and Idris as well. The set also has a little spinner on the bottom, like the Flight Control TARDIS. The Junk TARDIS has a removable console panel, and features seatbelts as well (to stop your figures falling off of the set when you spin it). The time rotor in the middle of the set comes out, and with the removable panel, you can build the TARDIS. The only real downside is that the console is really hard to put into the little slots in the base of the set, but once it's in, you don't really need to take it out again, do you?

Overall, I think this set is great, and other people may not like it because it is not electronic, but that doesn't matter to me.

I am not into these things, but the boy (9yrs) is. He really wanted it for Crimbo and he got it. Daddy assembled and it looks good. I like the removable console and I have shown Jake the spinning feature. There is a cracking YouTube review by a Dr Who fan and he shows you all the details too. The 5" figures fit in nicely. Happy child, happy days!
