4.0 out of 5 stars My son read this THREE TIMES 19 Sep 2007
By D. Shaw
This book uses a very clever system of paper based hypertext!?, at the end of most pages is a branching question.
Should the Doctor follow Martha? (goto Page 35) or should the Doctor examine the Alien Spacecraft? (goto Page 76).
This enabled young Nikolai to read the same book 3 times (at least) whilst enjoying the different outcomes.

I'm now about to buy books 2, 3 & 4 of this series to see if the (difficult to nurture) reading enthusiasm continues

4.0 out of 5 stars More like decide your story line... 3 May 2009

OK, see, I am a fan of Choose Your Own Adventures and other books like it that came out around the same time. So when I saw they had something like that for the Doctor, not related to the FASA books, I had to get it.
It isn't really a choose your own adventure as much as a choose your own story line. You truly decide what happens next, without the toss of a coin or the roll of a die. I've played it a dozen times and, so far, the plot is the same but sometimes the characters, and your pathway from start to finish, changes.
OK for kids, and for Doctor Who fans, but that's about it. They do a good job with the character of the Tenth Doctor but Martha seems a tad off.
