3.0 out of 5 stars Left wanting more... 10 April 2013

When I saw this was coming I preordered immediately. It's the first collected compendium which I have preordered.

Not simply by the name(everything with the 'Daleks' has some value?) but I knew the story Nemesis of the Daleks, which was the sequel to Absalom Daak - Dalek Killer, but its sequel Emperor of the Daleks. I was hoping for 'Emperor' to be with it.

Having received today I feel Panini have missed a trick. While they have included the Absalom Daak stories from the Doctor Who Weeklies of the 1970's but they didn't include Emperor of the Daleks from DWM200. The story is therefore unfinished!

I'm sure the arguement would be that they're trying to release the stories in order of release in DWM. Most of the stories in this book refer to coming from 'Incredible Hulk' publication. Which would completely dampen their arguement.

Bit at a loss and a bit dissappointed. This is not as good as other releases.

4.0 out of 5 stars Nemesis of the Daleks 29 Sep 2013
By Keen Reader TOP 100 REVIEWER
This is a collection of Doctor Who Seventh Doctor comic strips from the Doctor Who magazine, published in 2013. There are 16 stories:
1. The first story, from which the collection takes its name is Nemesis of the Daleks (Doctor Who magazine 152-155) and features that well-known galactic Dalek-killer Abslom Daak. Daak teams up with the Seventh Doctor to foil the Dalek's latest plan-for-total-domination-of-the-universe (a fairly stock phrase for Daleks), the Dalek Death Wheel!
2. Stairway to Heaven (Doctor Who magazine 156). The Doctor visits the Chardaz Museum of Modern Art, but isn't sure he likes what's exhibiting.
3. Once in a Lifetime (The Incredible Hulk Presents 1). The Doctor is enjoying lunch on a park bench in Solar City on Galactica Minor when he gets unpleasantly interrupted. I love the link in time of the kid with the balloon in this one.
4. Hunger from the Ends of Time (The Incredible Hulk Presents 2-3). The planet Catalog, repository for all collated knowledge in the Universe. But that's a problem when you have bookworms. This is a great Dan Abnett story.
5. War World! (The Incredible Hulk Presents 4). Where does humanity begin and end?
6. Technical Hitch (The Incredible Hulk Presents 5). Another Dan Abnett story - long journeys can be such a drag!
7. A Switch in Time! (The Incredible Hulk Presents 6). Tv can muddle your mind ...
8. The Sentinel! (The Incredible Hulk Presents 7). When you get a bang on the head, you have to watch those bandaids.
9. Who's That Girls! (The Incredible Hulk Presents 8-9). A peace conference on the planet Okul gets more Who than they bargained for.
10. The Enlightenment of Ly-Chee the Wise (The Incredible Hulk Presents 10). Enlightenment sometimes has a winding path ...
11.

4.0 out of 5 stars Daleks. Chainsaws. What's not to like? 9 May 2013

Seriously. Old school DW crossed with a 2000 AD aesthetic. The reprints from the Hulk don't sit that well necessarily, but they give you an idea how varied old Marvel could be. No sign of the other FHD (Foreign Hazard Duty - think UNIT. In space) story, unfortunately.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not quite the complete Abslom Dak collection 6 Jun 2013

It's a shame Emperor of the Daleks wasn't included in this too. The 7th Doctor Incredible Hulk strips aren't really a patch on those from the DWM.
