I was worried that this might be a bit of a sell-out like the Top Trumps game, but my kids are so keen on Doctor Who that it was worth a try - my fears were very much unfounded as the game really captures the humour and quirkiness of the new Doctor perfectly. This is a Professor Layton-Style puzzle adventure which is a familiar format, but with a Doctor Who theme - very cleverly done and well scripted. Will let you know how we get on with it once I can stop the kids squabbling over who has it next!

We purchased this as a gift for my nine year old son, and he loves it. As we live in the States it is hard sometimes to find Doctor Who items, and especially video games. In fact, this is the first game we have found that is compatible with any system on our side of the Atlantic. The game has challenging puzzles that tests his thinking and reasoning skills, and has the voices of the Doctor and Amy to give it a very real feel. He got the game for Christmas, and now just after the new year is still playing it and enjoying it tremendously.

This game is great, I may be over the target age for it but I'm a huge Doctor Who fan.
If you like puzzle games like Professor Layton then you'll be in familiar territory, it's like a Professor Layton game but Doctor Who based (same movement structure, character interaction, puzzles etc).
Some of the puzzles are quite easy but that's to be expected with the 3+ age guide on the cover. The trickier ones are the mini games where you have to guide energy balls without them getting destroyed.
I would put the age guide for this game much higher than 3+ (more like 7+) as I doubt a 3 year old could do most of the puzzles on their own (but I guess playing with a parent would be fine!)
Overall a great game! Ideal for Christmas!

rubbish game
uninteresting boring game but great value and great delivery it was just not the type of game that i would consider entertaining for a child it was more of a mystery game like csi

Doctor who
I bought this ds game for my 4year old son . He thinks its great . I have to help him with the puzzles but so far they haven't been too tricky ! Perfect for a train journey .

The feed back from my grand son was he found the game disappointing especially after playing other games that he has in his portfolio of games.
