Find the Best Doctor or Midwife During Pregnancy, Have Less Pain In Labor, Be Confident In Your Pregnancy & When Giving Birth…

If you’re like me … you've had at least some anxiety about being pregnant & giving birth. After talking with 100s of moms, these are the straightforward pieces of “pregnancy & birth” gold they wish they had known before giving birth- which, ironically, are some of the most important topics that are often never talked about.

I've connected with 100s of top doctors, doulas, midwives & moms to have them teach you how to have an easier labor and healthy birth.

Birth Book is full of candid conversations, true stories, important insights, and tips from top doctors and moms. They open up, get real and share with you what 100s of moms and over 70 combined years of “giving birth” experience has taught them about childbirth. Their knowledge becomes yours, so you can have an easier labor & healthy birth with your baby!

You’ll also see the best research & medical evidence on giving birth. A lot of pregnancy books talk about "giving birth.” Birth Book actually shows you “how to have a healthy birth” and gives you the evidence to back it up (evidence is from the most trusted medical research institutions in the world: US Cochrane Center at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, National Institute of Health and the Journal of Perinatal Education).

3. Why a doula is a must & how “you’re far less likely to have [unwanted] interventions or need a C-section if you…”

OB/GYN or Midwife? How To Choose the Best Doctor or Midwife For You During Pregnancy

Kate Glynn (mom of 2) teaches you:

1. How to find an OB/GYN or Midwife who supports you during pregnancy, believes in you, encourages you & advocates for you as you’re giving birth. She shares her true story so you can avoid her bad experience with doctor #1 and have her amazing experience with doctor #2.
2. The 5 most important questions to ask any provider during pregnancy.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Great Book for Natural Birth! 7 Aug 2013
By Misslissy - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This was a really great book! A quick read - it's informational and fun. I think anyone who is having children should read this book, especially if you want to have a natural birth. All of the sections are interview style, which makes you feel like you are part of the conversation, which is another aspect I really appreciated. It was full of serious information and studies to back up the claims, but despite that, it was not a heavy, dense book, but a light, enjoyable read. Even though I have already had one natural birth, I still found it helpful and still found some things I learned that I can use for the next time. I recommend this book to anyone who is wanting a natural birth or just having a birth in general. I think there is information that applies beyond just natural birth. If you are wondering whether or not you should read this book, the answer is yes, yes you should.

5.0 out of 5 stars This book was helpful! 7 Aug 2013
By S. Elsbernd - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition
I read this book while pregnant and loved it. It was soothing to read and full of helpful insights from other moms. I used several of the tips mentioned during labor and they helped me stay calm and confident. I had a beautiful birth experience, partly because of my midwives team within the hospital and partly because this book gave me permission to have a wonderful experience.

4.0 out of 5 stars Very thought provoking book on birth 7 Aug 2013
By Shellbell - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I really enjoyed reading this book about birth and a different perspective on birth than the normal hospital birth where often times the doctor makes all the decisions. It has 4 interviews, 2 with medical doctors (about being calm and relaxed and another about being fearless) and 2 with mothers (about choosing an OB/GYN or midwife, and about pain management). They focus on being empowered through the birthing process and being knowledgeable about birth and what you want. There are many thought provoking questions that it brings to light that you can ask yourself about how you want your birth to go, and then in turn ask your doctor or midwife. I like that they have interviews with both doctors and mothers so you can get the medical perspective and the "been there, done that" perspective. I also liked that it made me think outside the box a little, but it didn't make you feel like your choice in a hospital birth was wrong. I really liked the feeling of empowerment the book gave me in the birthing process; that my body was made to do this, and ways I can help myself with the birth process.
The book is laid out interview style, which isn't my favorite, but does give you a good sense of why questions were answered in the order that they were as the questions went with the flow of the conversation. I would recommend this book to expectant mothers (even if they have given birth before), expectant fathers who may be able to help their wives in decisions they are unsure of and what to do during the birth to help, doulas, and anyone else who is interested in the birth process who may want to learn more. As thy have stated, the book does not super cede medical advice and needs to be used as a supplementary tool.

5.0 out of 5 stars Birth Book leads you to a good path... 7 Aug 2013
By Elbeen - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
The Birth Book was absolutely helpful. It read easily & quickly and was almost like listening in on a conversation next to you that sounds interesting. The really important topics were there such as finding the right provider for your pregnancy & birth, getting through birth, and examples and stories are given to show you why you should really pay attention to what is important to you. Psychological aspects of pregnancy and birth are both talked about in a casual and relaxed way which motivated me (instead of overwhelming me) to focus on dealing with any fears and then to get a game plan together to be ready mentally for a positive experience. Medical studies and evidence are included and there are links for further info. My favorite takeaway was how this book re-frames the way we are used to hearing about having a baby...and it is so refreshing and sensible because it fills in some missing pieces. Plus it made me laugh. Grab and read this book and know that you will have someone whispering helpful things and encouragement in your ear during one of the biggest events in your life.

5.0 out of 5 stars Short, sweet and just what every newly pregnant mom needs to know 11 Aug 2013
By Elizabeth - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This book does an excellent job of giving confidence and critical info to expecting moms without being overwhelming. It's a great read for any trimester, but especially great for a first trimester mom to know just enough about birth to make timely decisions about her caregiver. It's a challenge for pregnant women to take in all the info available about pregnancy, only to find out that they are learning about birth itself too late in the game to have the options they want available.
This book is informational and inspirational without being preachy. If you value normal, healthy birth but don't always know how to communicate with friends about healthy evidence based birth choices without being overbearing, this book will do it for you. Birth professionals, get this book for yourself and be prepared to buy several more to pass around to clients and friends.
