I know that reviews are subjective and I was only inspired to write this one to balance the scales. The review from the person who didn't like this so much is their fair opinion.I am not here to knock their right to such an opinion.
But, I think that this is a normal, entertaining episode of Doc Martin with all the usual skill and quality that we have seen in each series.With a little extra. Fantastic guest cast. Quality acting as per usual from the regulars. I must add that I was pleased to see Chris O'Dowd doing his Manic turn.Kenneth Cranham is one of the best character actors around, playing Caroline Catz's Dad.
The film was well paced and the laughs came when needed. Understated and even though I knew what was coming, it still made me laugh.
Enjoyable.Thank you to the Cast and Crew.

I rather liked it! I was expecting an awful episode having read some of the reviews but it really was much better than I thought.

It was a little bit predictable as to what was going to happen and I didn't like the opening shot of Martin and Louisa tied up (as on the box) and then the whole build up done retrospectively.

But there were sub plots going on - Al and Pauline's romance, Bert's birdwatching tours and Mrs Tishell's usual eccentric turn. Perhaps it did lack a little bit of charm at times.

By the way, it's not exclusive to Amazon - you can get it elsewhere and cheaper!
