This is the first of her books that I have read and I don't think I'll be reading any more from this author. The back cover promised much more than the book actually delivered and reading it was a bit like pulling teeth. The concept was very good, Vicky and her 2 friends decide leave it to the universe to deliver their wish list but the problem was that neither Vicky or her friends were very believable characters. Laura was a sterotypical upper class lawyer who's been left to cope as a single mother, Barbara is an out of work actress looking for her big break and Vicky was looking for Mr Right. However, instead of leaving it to the universe all three form a group and orchestrate every single situation to bring about what they want, which somehow misses the point of the law of attraction! Obviously both Laura and Barbara get their dreams in the end! It was so predictable who Vicky would end up with, however the ending was rushed and there were too many unanswered questions i.e. Where was Daniels so called girlfriend in New York? Why did he suddenly come back at the end without a proper explanation? All in all this book was hard work where I only managed a few pages at a time whereas normally I can't wait to get stuck into a good book. As previous people have said this book is ok for a quick holiday read but thats all.

most chick-lit is aimed at what age group? women over 20 years? well the author of this book is obviously trying to target 15 year old girls, with her constant use of teenage-slange and what she probably thinks are 'hip' words and phrases. i read about a dozen pages, forceing myself to continue reading because the storyline seemed promising - until i came accross the word 'jammers' not as in pyjamas, but as in 'the exhibition hall is jammers' (still first chapeter) who uses the word jammers??? no-one over the age of 15years. needless to say, after i re-read that paragraph, checking that i didn't imagine the use of such a stupid word, i sanpped the book shut and flung it in the bin! note to claudia carrol: stop trying to be cool and hip with your writing - it doesnt come across as cool and hip - it comes across and embarrasing for you and makes the reader cringe. i definately wont attempt to read any of your books again.
