So many great CDs in 2007, Fueled By Ramen still leading the way with The Academy Is and Fall Out Boy, until now that is.

Here comes the World's best one man band, Bryce Avary, recording as The Rocket Summer. For the record, this is TRS's 3rd CD and his first for Island records. "Calendar Days" and "Hello Good Friend" are full of beautiful pop songs with a very high "feel good" factor and plenty of other Amazon reviewers have poured praise upon them. "Do You Feel" continues where the previous CDs left off. This one is a little more polished and I think it is his best yet. Beautiful melodies sang with deep feeling. Bryce plays all the instruments with great enthusiasm and verve. This is the sound of a young guy (still only 23, I think) having a lot of fun. Would you call it art? I don't think Bryce Avary would ever be so pretentious - if you like Something Corporate / Jack's Mannequin, Ben Folds (I am sure you know the kind of thing by now) you are gonna love this one.

The best CD of 2007 so far for me. Highly recommended.

This album is very catchy and easy to listen to. The songs range is quite impressive considering his voice and after a few listens you find yourself singing along to barley known words like you all do when you get a nice new album.

After awhile though his voice started to get to me as it is an amazingly poppy emo voice, but definitely worth it and you can always have a kit kat between listens if it starts to annoy you.
