This great little book will get you perfectly in the mood to become a proficient off piste artiste. Creativity and adaptability lies in all of us and Rob is the accomplished guide. They say that its only by experiencing that you really learn. This is a book thats strong on stuff you can do.

I'm convinced that in a few years time we will look back at Improv as the best entry point for a whole bunch of things from making a great pitch, to honing your negotiation skills, to just being happy with what is there. The material here comes from an Improv point of view but this book is not theatrical - it's a guide to how it applies to your here and now. For me it explores beautifully the balance between solid preparation and being flexible in the moment. In truth, its difficult to classify but if you are interested in becoming more creative, spontaneous, adaptable or just dealing with life's challenges with more of a smile on your face, this is a book for you.

Format: Paperback
Simple, insightful, practical book from an author (and a publisher) who has clearly thought deeply and worked hard to understand how improvisation can be applied much more broadly than the traditional applications of theatre and comedy. Well worth a read

Robert Poynton's style is intelligent, easy to read and thought provoking. It does what it says on the cover. The practises and exercise are easy to follow and do.
