Product Description

The highly successful Collins Total Revision range has been updated for the new GCSE exams and completely redesigned for greater accessibility.

The content has been thoroughly updated to match the changes to the GCSE exams in June 2003. The books continue to have the depth and quality needed for students to achieve the very highest GCSE grades.

The redesign incorporates unique features that help students to revise effectively. Short ‘revision sessions’ maximise students’ concentration. Bullet points with highlighted words and phrases aid recall. ‘A* extra’ information boxes ensure that the brightest students attain the very top grade. ‘Question spotter’ panels pinpoint the exam questions students are most likely to meet in their exam papers.

Each title provides:

• Complete content coverage for the new GCSE specifications

• Short 20-minute revision sessions

• ‘Check yourself’ questions to test understanding

• ‘A* extra’ information boxes for highlighting likely exam questions

• Exam practice chapter with detailed guidance on exam technique

I am a Food Technology Teacher and I am recommending this book to students. In particular I think that students entered for the higher tier will find this book advantageous. It covers all aspects of the course and gives useful examiners tips.

While studying GCSE Food Technolgy I was always searching for a revision guide to help. I had never seen a food technolgy revision guide, so was interested to find out what this book had to offer. The book was very helpful for exam practice. There are questions the whole way through testing your knowledge and a full exam paper at the back. The coursework guidance section was a great help, and had some advice worth listening to!

With all this in mind, the book can be considered very useful, and well worth the money!

I found that this book was good for the coursework but when it came to the revision this book was far too dense. I much prefer the lonsdale revision book for revision. However, the exam practice questions in this book are very good.
