Format:Paperback
This book is written by the chief examiner and is absolutley brilliant for getting that exam techniquie just right. The book goes through sample answers and explains what is needed to improve the answers so that they can upgraded. The book goes through the terms that the examiner will use in the question and how words like "explain" "describe" and "evaluate" should affect the answer that you give. There are also practice questions that you can do and they are laid out exactly how they will be in the exam. Of course this book is only part of what you need but it is a great little book for sharpening up exam technique and as it is written by the chief examiner it really is handing the exam to you on a plate. Also it is possible to get full marks on the exam (Beacuse I did) so I would recommend this book to anyone who thinks that their technique in exams could do with a little improving and also to anyone who has difficulty with the words that tell you what to do in the exam such as "describe" etc.

Hi
I'm going to give a completely truthful review. When I bought it was seriously expecting a normal sized book that would show practice answers, so I would know how to get a A. Not only did it come later than it said it would, but the book is not only tiny, but by answers it provides 1 mark questions and answers. So my advice would be if u want to revise AS don't get this book bcos it doesn't have much on topics and especially don't get it if u want some sample answers. Don't be conned!

Good place to start 31 Mar 2010
Format:Paperback
This book provides a good starting place for basic sociological information, however when refering to empirical research it fails to provide dates making it impossible to cite studies in essays.
