About the Author

Tom Holt's first book was published when he was just thirteen and, to his horror, he was hailed as an infant prodigy. While studying at Oxford however he discovered Bar Billiards and turned from poetry to comic fiction. --This text refers to an alternate Paperback edition.

Tom Holt fits into the Fantasy/Comedy genre with the likes of Terry Pratchett and Robert Rankin, he proves to be just as funny. The book is essentially a parodic take on genie folklore, with Cupid falling into the picture at one point in this book, don't let him shoot you with his rifle. The book also parodies impending apocalypse in a hilarious way. I'll say it now it's not as good as Tom Holt's Expecting Someone Taller and The Flying Dutch but it's most certainly worth a read, I devoured it in less than a week, normally I's finish reading a book quicker but I didn't have that much time on my hands.

Putting the folklore and comedy aside, I aslo enjoyed the uncomfortable releationship between KISS and Jane. There are some really classic moments in this I really loves it when they visit Saheed's bar. So I urge you to read this book. If you're already a sfan of Tom Holt and havent read this yet then read it. If you like Terry Pratchett and Robert Rankin then read it and if you're looking for something new to read this is more than satisfying.

Yours Sincerely []

I found this book great fun to read and keeps the imagination going all the way through, with many twists. One of the best fantasy book I've read.

I borrowed this book and at the end I really did not want to give it back.

Tom Holt takes the concept of genies, bottles, wishes and just mixes it with very witty results.

Very enjoyable!
