I will unashamedly admit that I am a Tori Amos fan, although I have no idea how popular she is in this country, as the only other person I know who enjoys listening to her is my little sister, so perhaps she is an acquired taste. This song is really just Tori Amos on the piano and singing, so it is simple and rather elegant. This is also a slow and thoughtful song, and of course with Amos’ voice is slightly haunting.

As far as I understand it this track which is currently on promo isn’t available on the normal CD and is an exclusive track for the Amazon digital download. Be careful there is the main version of this album available on CD and other sites have added tracks such as this, so even if you have the normal album you may find it great to download this whilst it is on promo so that you have an extra track.

I'm in music heaven today, having discovered two free tracks from artists I love. Digsy's Dinner (Live Gleneagles June '94) by Oasis and this Amazon exclusive track from Tori Amos, whose new album Unrepentant Geraldines should be coming through my letter box imminently. Unless I'm wrong, this song won't be on that album so if you're a fan, like me, grab it quick before the offer expires.

This is one of Tori's softer reflective ballads, and it's a really lovely song. I totally agree with M Dowden and "A customer" where they say in their reviews that it's haunting and stays with you long after the song has finished. I've listened to it once before wring this review - just once - and I could recite it to you right now without having to have a second listen. Yes, it'll be those two songs by Tori and Oasis that I'll be listening to until, hopefully, Tori's album comes through my letterbox tomorrow.

If you need any further reason to download this, it's Tori and a piano and that's a combination more magical than any other singer-songwriter and their instrument that I know.

I haven't listen to Tori for a long time and lost touch as you do with some artists then rediscover them. Well, as a freebie Dixie is just like that, I feel a come back to me and re-listen to what you have missed for so long feeling. So I think it will be back to a catalogue of CD hunting time to an old spiritual piano playing era.

The amazing Tori Amos does it again... Is there no end to her super-human musical powers?
Apparently this review isn't long enough.

......she is still holding my hand.'

A hauntingly pretty song - 3.46 mins. - slow and defined;straight from the heart, which echoes long after the track has finished, in my experience.

I owe it to the Amazon MP3 email service for making me aware of something I might well have missed, this morning!

At the time of writing, this is a FREE BONUS track EXCLUSIVE to AMAZON, so nothing to lose and everything to gain....and....a great time to check out the new album from Tori Amos.
