Product Description

Product Description

Considers how the church can reflect God's compassion and forgiveness to divorcees yet stand firm on the sanctity of marriage and the vows of lifelong commitment. Written in the third person, from the perspective of 'Chris', a committed Christian who collapsed inside, and barely kept himself together outside during his divorce. Examines how Christians, who have endured divorce, can go through the stages of recognition, repentance, redemption and transformation. Each chapter will end with a prayer and reflection, which can be combined to create a liturgy to acknowledge the divorce experience.

excellent book 13 Jun 2011
Format:Paperback
This book is honest informative insightful funny poignant and visceral. All pastoral people/ministers/priests should read it - I have ordered 3 copies already and given them away but not my own copy with its underlined parts that I will refer to again and again. He places the topic in context beautifully and its so not about this area demanding special treatment but rather looking at its particular subtle aspects that may not be apparent.I am so glad I read it.Thank you.
