5.0 out of 5 stars Haunting. 19 April 2014

An exquisitely beautiful book from the depths of Bauby's heart. Combining facts with hazy dreams and heart-breaking honesty with jarring wishful thinking it's a book which has been indelibly imprinted on my soul. Be uplifted, humbled, educated and grief-stricken in one breath.

5.0 out of 5 stars Really moving book 30 Nov 2013

I read this book whilst recovering from open heart surgery which may be the reason why I found it so very powerful. Although the context was dark indeed, I found the honesty and the vivid descriptions of this man very moving indeed.
