Shannon Parker is 35 year old school teacher and goes shopping and buys a Celtic vase with an image of the Goddess Epona on it who mysteriously also looks like Shannon, which she almost doesn't win (it's a live auction not eBay LOL) and then Shannon manages to switch her life and ends up in the magical world of Partholon where she finds that lots of people resemble people from her life as she was.
Cue Alanna, who resembles Shannon's friend Suzanna and Shannon cannot get her head round the fact that she is now Alanna/Suzanna's mistress, not just that she is also to marry and not just anyone, a Centaur called Clanfintan who is also High Shaman of the Centaurs and a shapeshifter.
People soon find out that Shannon (now called Rhea) that she is not the woman they at first feared and begin to trust her.
This is fantastic book I am a huge fan of P C Cast and although I have read this book ages ago in its previous carnation (Goddess By Mistake) it was a long time ago and had forgotten what a fabulous read this is, it has it all and its so funny too!
The thought of having a part human part horse as the main romance attraction here may seem strange at first but PC Cast is such a weaver of words she will soon have you falling for him as much as Shannon/Rhea did!
This could be read as a stand alone but, I'm sure you will want to have the next instalment on standby.
