Product Description

Product Description

About the Book: God said, "We have created everything in pairs." This has to do with reality versus imitation. Our physical form here in this earthly life is only a reflection of our heavenly form. Like plastic fruit and real fruit, one is real, while the other is an imitation. This book looks at the nature of the physical world, the laws governing the universe and from this starting point, jumps into the realm of spiritual knowledge - Sufi teachings which must be "tasted" as opposed to read or spoken. It will serve to open up to the reader the mystical path of saints which takes human beings from the world of forms and senses to the world within the heart, the world of Gnosis and spirituality - a world filled with wonders and blessings. About the Author: Shaykh Muhammad Hisham Kabbani is a scholar from the Middle East. He graduated with a B.A. in Chemistry from the American University of Beirut and then went to Louvain, Belgium to continue his medical studies. He later received his Islamic law degree, then went on to study the Sufi spiritual path with two great master of wisdom. Other books by the shaykh include: The Naqshbandi Sufi way, Angels Unveiled, Encyclopedia of Islamic Doctrine (7 volumes), and Women Companions of the Prophet Muhammad (with Dr. L. Bakhtiar). Shaykh Kabbani is the chairman of the Islamic Supreme Council of America, an educational organization based in Michigan.

A deeply spiritual compilation that reaches out to the reader with its message of tolerance 13 Sep 2005
By Midwest Book Review - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
Scholar Shaykh Muhammad Hisham Kabbani, a scholar in the ways of Islamic law, Sufism, and chemistry, and chairman of the Michigan-based educational organization Islamic Supreme Council of America, presents Keys to the Divine Kingdom, an introduction for lay readers to better understand the physical and spiritual worlds. Sufi teachings in particular must be "tasted" and experienced fully, rather than simply read or spoken, to be truly understood. Keys to the Divine Kingdom is specifically written for lay people and other non-Mulsim readers, and to this end Arabic terminology is replaced with English translations save in a few instances where the original Arabic is pivotal to the message. The original source material for Keys to the Divine Kingdom is Kabbani's oral presentations, which were unrehearsed and entirely from the heart and soul. Chapters reflect upon the journey of weary individuals frustrated and confused by conflicting religious messages, degrees of nearness to God, holy figures, the role of science in understanding what is not know to man, and how to "polish the heart", and much more. A deeply spiritual compilation that reaches out to the reader with its message of tolerance, enlightenment, and approaching God through the virtue of humility and improving the self.
