If you are releasing a follow-up album, there are two things you should be aiming for - continuity or quality. With Crystal Method's fourth full-length studio album (not counting their "Drive" compilation or the "London" soundtrack) they clearly missed both.
The album takes what feels like endless minutes to finally shift into a higher gear, but unfortunately faster doesn't equal better. Some of the tracks suffer from the same problem "Legion Of Boom" did, as they sound like there wasn't time for proper mixing and mastering once the tracks had been wrapped up. Others are just plain bad.
While "Legion Of Boom" was still acceptable, 2007's "Drive" showed that Ken and Scott still could deliver a good punch, but for me "Divided By Night" marks a new low point in their discography.
