Despite the consistently excellent content this is really for major orbital fans and collectors, I see no logic to the choice of tracks compiled, it's basically the majority of 2 eps and a remix of 'Impact'. The Lush remixes are all highly accomplished and individual enough that even when placed consecutively in the running order your ears don't suffer from repetition. I prefer the original although the Underworld mix in particular is great and very cleverly the end result comes over as a perfect hybrid of both artists, Orbworld or Undertal, take your pick. There are also 3 tracks from the 'Peel Session' ep. Great tracks but the ep works best as a whole and you feel like something is missing - it is!
Now for my money the highlight and whole point of buying this release is 'Impact USA'. If you know the Brown album, their second album, you will be aware of the glory of this tune, it is utterly epic, it's one of the best tunes they've ever made. This version however is even better, it is essentially the same tune but at the 5 minute 10 seconds mark it mutates into the most epic acid breakbeat monster. Now I'm a sucker for acid tracks but this is truly glorious, majestic, genius, once that 303 kicks in it is pure climax until you hear the dramatic spoken 'It's a cry for survival' sample. Just a bit of an adjustment at the later part of the track but I had to have it. If you're interested in Orbital I would leave this release until you have acquired their albums and eps, you can then decide if you want to shell out for this 6 track release when you already have 5 of the tracks, personally speaking, the remix of 'Impact' is probably my all time favourite electronic track, so despite having it on vinyl it didn't deter me from the purchase. I don't know if the track would sound as good lost and marooned somewhere but I'm willing to take the gamble, definitely number 1 in my desert island discs.
