California Club being one of my favourite and most re-read books, this comes in 2nd. Nobody writes America like Belinda Jones. Dreaming of USA roadtrips past and future, and at times like now when Im dreaming of where we want to go next and where we can introduce our children to on the way, Im re-reading this book YET again.
I love BJ's characters, you empathise with Jamie; her crazy but loveable friend, her mother who refuses to be browbeaten by her unpleasent and bitter father, her awful sister that you just cant stand! the sweetly naive Zane (considering his job!) and his loving nature, that amusing suprise of Mia! and of course Finn and Scott.
I beg of you - if you read no other books, read this one and the California Club; if you arent yet in love with Amercia this will help you along. Her knack of describing the places in her books makes you weant to go/go back and feel as if you are alrerady there, and the way she always describes food ... yum!! read it, you will not be disappointed.

My friend gave this to me and I couldn't put it down. Great summer read. The perfect escape, especially if you're heading to Vegas for a holiday.
