You just cannot beat this set for value at Amazon's current selling price of £13.99 These films are a great way to give your surround sound a proper workout. The individual films are all known for their special effects if not for a cerebral storyline. But who gives a stuff, you aren't buying this set because its going to stimulate your brain with multiple plot lines or art house productions. You are buying them because there are a ton of explosions, aliens, destruction, tidal waves etc etc all set to surround sound heaven.
These films are all great to sit down on a Sunday afternoon with your mates or older kids and just enjoy some mindless cinema destruction.

Format:Blu-ray
This set includes propably the best Sci-Fi movie of the decade for me and two extra movies that gives you motivation to eat pop-corn and enjoy your home thater. 2012 is without a doubt the weakest of the three and battle L.A will be a good benchmark for your Home theater but unfortunately also for your ability to stay awake because no...it's not black hawk down+hurt locker with aliens.
Given the price I would buy that every day though!
The only issue(which wasn't amazons fault) was with the subtitles. A very accurate so far website stated that this set included Greek subtitles. Unfortunatelly only Battle L.A has them but fortunatelly the other two have english subs without the ''tiring descriptions'' for the hearing impaired. I have no difficulties with the language but many of my friends and propably potential buyers might have trouble following a foreign language especially in the very loud, urban warfare scenes of District 9 which as I said is the main reason to buy this set
So my fellow Countrymen you've been warned...For everyone else...it's a bargain!

Brought this mainly for District 9 and Battle LA , but I still enjoyed 2012. You get the 3 discs all In the one case which isn't great, but for the price I can't complain. The movies are all good quality blurays and well worth a purchase for the right price.

Ordered these films as I love Sci-Fi stuff. Watched two of them no problem on my blu-ray. Unfortunately '2012' would only show the play screen but would not then play the film. Read more

This set is good value for $, Battlefield LA is the pick of the 3 with 2012 coming second , District 9 is a bit od in the way it is made but not that bad. Read more
