After (8?) years of trying for the elusive breakthrough, it seems Cormac Battle & crew might have deciphered the pop/rock code. This rocks with an instant hook I don't think either Wilt, or their former incarnation Kerbdog, have acheived before - they've turned down the guitars and fine-tuned the melodies, evolving into what they've always threatened to: a bona-fide threat to the top 20. If they hadn't realeased this at the same time as Idlewild have released their new single, they'd have been the token guitar band on top of the pops next week. The B-Sides bode well for the new album, 'cos if these are the 'rejects', it'll be a blinder. Ace.

A clinger 10 Nov 2006
Wilt is evidence that good artists can bounce back, as ex-members of Kerbdog show they can carry on anew. The main track is exceptional in many ways; both b-sides lack anything to say they are more than b-sides, although by no means awful. Just try and get away from this without it being lodged in your head.

Whether it's down to the sheer repetitiveness or just being a genuinely well-written track, it will burrow into your skull regardless of your love or hate towards it.
