4.0 out of 5 stars Enjoyable story 29 July 2014
By Gisela H. Sedlmayer, author of the Talon book series - Published on

When I first saw that book I thought, well, that seems to be a good read. So I purchased it and started to read it. Then one surprise after the other came.

I found myself in the luxury liner Hyperion with different people and even with a princess Alynna, as she tried to save her doomed world. But when the captain was murdered...

Well, I don’t want to give away more. I said too much already.

A great read, different from all the other novellas I ever have read.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Fab Story 30 Nov. 2014

Absolutely fab story that left me longing to know more about the universe that Boshoff created in this too short novella (yes, I know that novellas are meant to be short, but I want more!!!!). Though this is a short book, I must say, I felf empathy for each character which really demonstrates the writing talents of Boshoof - will be looking forward to further work from this author.

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing! 11 Feb. 2014
By Felix Colley - Published on
Format:Kindle Edition
I've, sadly, just finished reading this. No, actually, devouring this book. It was a pleasure to read and the only thing that I didn't like about it was that it finished. I could have soaked up the universe that Grant Boshoff created here for volumes more! but all the same this was a perfect measure of wonder and twist.

I look forward to reading more soon!

4.0 out of 5 stars A very good short story 18 Oct. 2014
By Kimberley P. - Published on
Format:Kindle Edition
A very good short sci-fi novella that could easily have been turned in to a full length novel. The characters are vividly written and the author does a good job of making them come to life in the readers mind.

This story has a little bit of everything, romance, joy, sadness, a hero, a heroine, and a villain. The secondary characters are believable and have their own story within the story.

One of my favorite lines from the book is when Jeros says, "Women are difficult enough creatures to understand without the complexities of cosmic philosophy." It made me smile because I think both men and women can agree with the sentiment :-).

This story had a very realistic ending which surprised me, but it was refreshing in a plethora of books that have fairy tale endings.

I look forward to reading more books from Grant Boshoff.
