Got this album through pledgemusic.com last September. Both lyrically and musically it is outstanding. Willie has consistently delivered music over the years that has so many interesting styles & features and possesses the knack of writing what are really complicated compositions that sound really easy to understand, not sure how he does that. The harmonies on the vocals are his usual brilliant standards.

They play there last ever show in June and I am going to be there. Sad because even though I am sure Willie will go onto other projects there other band members have done so much also and without getting too bitter it's ridiculous Jackdaw4 and Willie Dowling are not household names. I'm sick of hearing myself say that but it is true. There is a musical genius here staring you in the face and people choose puerile junk music instead.

To be quite honest this album is like everything else Jackdaw4 have done before in that it is honest music that just happens to have been wrote by the King of Songwriters, can't say anymore go and buy the thing.

Having listened to Mr. Willie Dowling, I have to that the Genius is well and truly loose.
Dissecticide is one amazing album which is going to put a smile on your face if you are one of the fortunate few to listen.
If you came here by accident, buy the damn album! It's the best £4.99 I have spent EVER! :)

45 minutes of power pop bliss, a cross between early 70s Yes, Jellyfish, 10cc with a few Sparks thrown in. I have all their other records but this is the most consistent, the melodies and innovative arrangements are up their with the best pop records. Lyrically obscure but non the worse for it.
