I'll read practicallyy anything that might have something to do with angels in it, so Dispossession immediately caught my attention. Plus, the whole mystery surrounding the main character's loss of memory was enough to add additional interest.
Overal, this book was okay, but I won't want to re-read it. I got through it pretty quickly, but was left feeling pretty dissapointed by the whole thing at the end. I expected the story to be more heavily about the angel, and it wasn't really. Nor would I really call this horror. There was some dark and gruesome parts, some of which gave me the chills, but the majority of the book isn't quite horror.
I also had a bit of a hard time adjusting to the author's writing style. Granted, this is my first Chaz Brenchley book I've read, but it still took me at least until page 100 to really get used to his style. I just had a hard time immersing myself into the story.
