THE Essential Accessory to connect your Mac to your Home Entertainment System

This adaptor is absolutely brilliant! With it you can effortlessly connect your Mac (one with a Mini Displayport) to your widescreen TV or home entertainment system. And, unlike other solutions, sends video AND audio through the one HDMI cable (not supplied). I have already used it to view BBC iPlayer HD content on my Sony widescreen TV and the video and audio playback is stunning. You could also view your iTunes video library. If you have an iPhone or iPod Touch you can then remotely control iTunes with Apple's Remote app. Or watch YouTube videos, your slideshows ...
I must also commend Neet on their speed of delivery and the excellence of their technical support - replying to an emailed set-up query within an hour on a Saturday! In fact, there is only one thing that you should be aware of: Not only must you switch sound output to USB (as stated) but you need to click the 'Mirror display' checkbox under display settings on your mac.
I am already convinced that this is the one MUST HAVE accessory for any MacBook Pro owner!

I decided to make the switch over to Mac and was so excited about making the most of the Mac's infinitely better graphics and connecting it up to my HDTV. Unfortunately, I discovered that there was no HDMI mort on the Mac, the way there was on my PC, and that the Apple MiniDisplay Port doesn't transmit audio.
I came across this product and decided to take a chance. It was definitely the right decision. I'm now able to connect my MacBook to my TV with only one cable. It's so handy as I absolutely hate multiple cables and clutter.
The quality of both the sound and picture transmitted is absolutely awesome.
I ordered late on a Wednesday afternoon and I had the Neet adapter the next morning.

I cannot praise this product and the "Neet" guys enough!! I have shopped around for a year looking for the right cable so that I can watch and listen through my LG TV. I emailed the "Neet" guys and they responded within 10 minutes with 3 different options for playing the sound to accompany videos. It is so quick and easy to use! I've even got my parents ordering them for their Macbook Pro's! Absolutely pain-free perfect picture and sound quality!

Does not support Dolby Digital
Please be warned that this product only supports stereo sound output. It does not support Dolby digital 5.1. You need the product with the Toslink connector for that.
