Sorry to go against all the others who clearly love this. We got this at Christmas, primarily as we have a 5 yo and 3 yo in the house - our 5 yo can cope with almost anything on the Wii (including thrashing her dad at Wii Tennis) but our younger one was a little left out. As the game is targetted at younger players the score of three stars reflects our concerns in what it offers.
We got this for our youngest as other reviews said how easy it was to use (and she, like most 3 1/2 year olds pick stuff up fast) but this really was a big disappointment for me and our kids.
The basic storyline sort of follows bits of the film (not that it would really matter anyhow) but the actual gameplay seems to be endless snippets of minigames that often dont quite make sense (especially to a younger player) and you need some idea what you should be doing - for example near the beginning you are in the derelict restaurant and have to choose who to talk to. Each character choice leads you to a diferent part of the story, so you pick the big bloke and end up at the dinner party some way into the story. And then you make another choice and have to pick a dress for one of the characters, or bake a randomly generated cake, or waggle the remote in a really basic 'dead fishes' style game. Me and the kids spent quite a few bemused periods before the disc got taken out in favour of almost anything else, though usually Lego Harry Potter 1-4. In comparison, really old Spyro games on the PSOne are way more fun for young kids than this, even if the controls are near impossible for them half the time
Maybe we are missing something here, but it seems to be a a disc full of mediocre mini games loosely connected to an ok Disney film. It was too difficult for a 3 yo to understand what was needed next, and too boring for a 5yo who didnt see any challenge or interest in it to bother
