I bought this book of Disney songs to play at a Disney themed wedding, having various other music by the same arranger I thought it would be a fun book to have.Instead I found the arrangements of the songs very uninteresting and dull to play. The music is clear to read and not particularly difficult but the content and the way it is arranged for harp is booring, had I seen a copy before I bought it, I would not have wasted my money.

76 Disney Songs for the Harp by Sylvia Woods.
Lever and pedal harp players will find many favorites in this book of Disney Songs by Sylvia Woods. I have been playing the harp for 14 years and find these pieces challenging and very rewarding once mastered. As I reviewed the 76 titles included in the book it brought back memories of my childhood. The songs are grouped by decade starting with beautifully arranged pieces from Snow White ( the 30's) and concluding with Beauty and the Beast ( the 90"s). I have yet to find a book of harp pieces arranged by Sylvia Woods that does not touch the heart.

My 12 year old daughter loves this book which she received as a gift from her instructor. The arrangements are challenging but not too difficult and the songs, of course, are engaging for a young harpist. She also enjoys playing the pieces on the piano. A must have for a young harpist!
