I bought two of these lamps for my daughters. Each one lasted a week before they stopped charging up. The company were very good and sent out two replacements. One of these stopped working a few weeks later and they sent yet another replacement. Another one has now stopped working and I have given up!

I have had no problems with this item. As previous reviewers have stated you do have to turn the thing off before charging - however it does clearly state this on the packaging.
I personally wouldn't expect a night light to be too bright. It gives off just the right amount to make a little girl feel safe. Torch is quite good too - and easy to operate for little fingers.
We simply connect it to the mains in the morning and leave to charge, then it's ready for sleep time again.

it not educational (it's a torch), or to my own personal taste, but my four year old daughter loves this. it emits just enough light to reassure her at night, and the torch is very easy for her to use. So far, we havn't had any problems with re-charging. we bought this two months ago.
