Fun:
Overall G- Force hits the mark; both production and game play are good and exceed the usual standard seen with film tie in titles. The available weapons/equipment range is extensive as is the number of enemies encountered, however the action and puzzles are somewhat repetitive and formulaic while the locations become very similar very quickly. Playing through with my little one I couldn't help thinking that the developers started out looking to satisfy a 10-14 year old audience but half way through decided to try to accommodate the 6- 10 year olds, as a result the combat and puzzle challenges had to be somewhat diluted and were prevented from realizing their full potential.

Having said all that this is still a solid little game with enough good game play to see you through a couple of rainy afternoons.

This game is fairly dull and repetitive. I completed it in about 6 hours, though I had to force myself to, and that was mainly because I was looking after a couple of young kids that thought it was funny watching me laser everything. I would have switched it off after about an hour otherwise.

The levels themselves are tediously repetitive and the puzzles the same. Sure, the doors or locks are in a different place, but they're almost allways "send mooch to unlock a door or two so you can get in"... and other than using lasers to shoot bad guys, that's all this game has to offer.

The one redeeming feature of this game is that the electrical appliances are pretty amusing and varied.

THe film was fantastic, I loved it, and I will buy it as soon as it's released. The game is a poor accompanyment, and I'd avoid it. Don't even bother trying the 3D mode either - it makes the game look even worse, and you can't aim... assuming you can put up with the red/blue glasses long enough.

3D Guinea Pigs! 17 April 2010
Platform for Display:Xbox 360
Fun:
I'm surprised none of the other reviews mention the 3D in more than passing. It is a gimic, and you may find switching back to 2D to avoid headaches, but with a good HDTV and the old red and green glasses you do get something quite respectable.

(A tip is when you use the jet pac, pull the stick back and watch that Guinea Pig come OUT of the screen at you! Great fun!)

The game is one that has kept my 8 and 11 year old boys very happy. I have to admit trying out the training level when we first got it and I have seen very few games that actually break you into the controls so well.

The game itself is at the end of the day the usual film tie-in, but after my boys had played some of my 'older' games, I took a firm resolve to get them back playing the sort of thing that 8 and 11 year old boys should play and this and Bolt and Kung Fu Panda have been firm favourites.

Yes they are typical film tie ins, but they do what they do well. Nothing amazing but it keeps the kids happy (and I quite enjoyed playing a 3D guinea pig myself!)
